This is who I am
My name is Anastasia Elkjær and I am 18 years old. I live on Fejø, a small island in Denmark, with around 500 inhabitants and share my home with my family, siblings and our horses, cats, rats and dog.
My whole life I have felt a little different from the rest. I always got along well with others, but I preferred the company of animals over humans. Being with them was so much easier, they were so authentic and true. No hidden motives. I could always count on them.
I dropped out of primary school in 7th grade, when I was 12 years old, and chose to not take secondary school either. School felt so meaningless and as a big waste of my time. Time that I could spend so much better! Instead of going to school, I started to try out a lot of new things and getting better at what I liked to do. The things I mainly focused on were painting, digital art, photography, animal telepathy and self development.
But where to go from there? As a child I wanted to be a vet, I wanted to help the animals. But I quickly came to realize, that it wasn’t how I wanted to help them. Something didn’t feel right, something was missing. I found some of that missing piece, when I heard about animal telepathy for the first time in 2012. And after taking my first course in 2013, I was like: “YES! This is it!”. It felt so right for me.
My teacher in animal telepathy knew that I was doing art and requested me to do a series of paintings based on telepathic communication with her pony and greatest teacher, Shinto, who had gone in advance. I loved the idea of making paintings based on animal telepathy at an instance! It added something extra to it, which I didn’t get from just writing the animals’ messages down on a paper. A picture is worth a thousand words, was what Shinto told me when I communicated with him. And suddenly that saying had a whole new meaning for me.
But just as fast as I fell in love with animal telepathy, just as fast did I start to doubt myself and if I was able to do it, especially for other people. In 2016 I started on a coaching education at Mindjuice in Copenhagen. That was when I started to realize that the dream I had been searching for, for so long, actually was right in front of me. What I wanted to do, was to make paintings from animal telepathy! Being at those courses helped me to slowly build my confidence and courage to go after my dream and take action, instead of waiting passively.
With this blog I want to share openly about my thoughts, ideas, hopes, histories, fears and dreams. I want to inspire you to be yourself and show you that there are so many possibilities in this world. There are so many other things you can do, other than the usual: go to school, get an education and work until you’re old and retire. With some courage and determination, you can make your dreams come true, no matter what they are!
